1. Membership in the Maine Woods Coalition (MWC) shall be open to any individual, business or organization having a significant personal interest in issues affecting the recreational, commercial or industrial use of forest lands in northern Maine, who agrees with the purposes of the MWC, and who is willing to work to achieve those purposes. Individuals seeking membership must be citizens of the United States. Businesses and organizations seeking membership must be incorporated in the U.S. Unincorporated partnerships or proprietorships seeking membership must be owned by citizens of the U.S. 2. Full Membership Classes: There are four classes of full members of the Maine Woods Coalition: individual, business, organizational, and governmental. These four classes of members will have full voting rights. (a) Individual Members: All individual members must own property, or must permanently reside, in Somerset, Piscataquis, Penobscot, or Aroostook Counties, Maine.3. Supporting Members: Supporting members must meet the general membership criteria set out in section 1, but need not meet the additional criteria set out in section 2. Supporting members shall not have voting rights allowed to members in section 2, but shall be entitled to participate in any membership programs or benefits.
